Miley Cyrus is the youngest person to be named a Disney Legend. Cyrus got teary as she accepted the honor to a standing ovation from the crowd at the D23 Fan expo. Cyrus was one of 14 artists to be honored this year. “The Disney Legends Award is the highest honor our company bestows,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said at the event. “It’s presented as a celebration of talent, a recognition of achievement, and, above all, a sincere expression of our deep gratitude.
Gwen Stefani announced on Instagram that she would have to cancel an upcoming show in Atlantic City. “As a result of a recent injury and in consultation with my doctors, I’ve been advised that I’m not able to perform on August 17th,” she wrote. Stefani did not give any details about her injury but said she was planning to reschedule as soon as possible.
Jimmy Kimmel revealed why he turned down hosting the 2025 Oscars. The comedian said that Jimmy Kimmel Live! “suffers a little bit” when he’s focused on hosting the Oscars during his appearance on the Politickin’ podcast. “I just decided I didn’t want to deal with that this year. It was just too much last year. He said, “ I did two years [2017 and 2018], it went well. I did another two years [2023 and 2024], it went well. I figured I’d take a little break.”
