- Harvey Weinstein is planning to sue the New York Times for a scathing article they published on Thursday. The Times conducted an investigation in which several women including actress Ashley Judd came forward with allegations of sexual harassment against the producer going back decades. The article also claims that at least eight woman have received settlements over the years, including Rose McGowan. “I appreciate the way I’ve behaved with colleagues in the past has caused a lot of pain, and I sincerely apologize for it,”Weinstein said in a statement. “Though I’m trying to do better, I know I have a long way to go.” The producer would not confirm or deny any specific claims against him in the article.
- It’s official there is a Fast and Furious spinoff heading to the big screen. One day after Universal Pictures announced Fast and Furious 9 would not be released until April 2020 a whole year later than expected they had some more news. The spinoff staring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham would hit theaters first in July 2019.
- Kit Harington revealed on The Jonathan Ross show that he wants all of the Game of Thrones cast at his wedding. Harington recently popped the question to his Thrones’ co-star Rose Leslie. Harington said he called the producer to make certain everyone’s filming schedule would allow them to be there. “I rang him up and I said, ‘I’m getting married and it’s your fault actually,” Harington recalled. “I was like, ‘You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding by the way. They [the cast] have all got to be there so the whole thing has got to shut down!”
