Rosanna Arquette, Ashley Judd and Rose McGowan are among the many Hollywood celebrities who spoke out yesterday after Harvey Weinstein was found guilty of rape and committing a criminal sex act . All three women are among the more than 80 women who have accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct, “Gratitude to the brave women who’ve testified and to the jury for seeing through the dirty tactics of the defense ,” Arquette wrote in a tweet.
Judd wrote on Twitter, “For the women who testified in this case, and walked through traumatic hell, you did a public service to girls and women everywhere, thank you.”
McGowan was one of Weinstein’s most vocal accusers .”Today is a powerful day & a huge step forward in our collective healing,” she wrote in a tweet.
The disgraced producer was taken into custody after the verdict was read and on his way to Rikers Island jail when he was rerouted to a New York City hospital on Monday.
