Melanie Brown also known as Mel B has been granted a temporary restraining order against her estranged husband Stephen Belafonte. The former Spice Girl claims she suffered physical and emotional abuse throughout their marriage. In court documents Brown detailed years of abuse, with the first incident happening just five months into their nearly 10 year marriage. Authorities ordered Belafonte to leave the family’s home and to stay away from Brown and her three children.
Susan Sarandon took to Twitter to clear up an old rumor. “Press printed that Julia & I hated each other during Stepmom. Found out it was my PR person creating rumors,”Sarandon tweeted. She stared with Julia Roberts in the film Stepmom in 1998 and the feud rumor has never went away although both stars have denied it. Sarandon is currently staring in Feud about Bette Davis and Joan Crawford’s infamous feud.
In a recent interview with the BBC’s HARDtalk Ian McKellen explained the reason he turned down the role of Dumbledore in the Harry Potter franchise after the original Dumbledore Richard Harris died in 2002. After Harris’ death producers reached out to him but he simply couldn’t accept the role because of Harris’ previous criticism of him. “I couldn’t take over the part from an actor who I had known didn’t approve of me”, McKellen explained.
