Paula Abdul will return to American Idol as a guest judge. Abdul will replace Luke Bryan who tested positive for COVID-19. The pop star was part of American Idol’s original judging panel along with Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson, appearing on the show’s first eight seasons. She will join Katy Perry and Lionel Richie for Monday’s show.
Will Smith’s movie Emancipation leaves Georgia over their recent voting restrictions. Director Antoine Fuqua and Smith issued a statement about the decision. “We cannot in good conscience provide economic support to a government that enacts regressive voting laws that are designed to restrict voter access. The new Georgia voting laws are reminiscent of voting impediments that were passed at the end of Reconstruction to prevent many Americans from voting. Regrettably, we feel compelled to move our film production work from Georgia to another state.”
Nick Cannon and Abby De La Rosa are expecting twin boys. La Rosa announced the happy news on social media Sunday. Cannon has yet to share the news on his social accounts. This will be baby number 5 and 6 for the Masked Singer Host.
