ARIANA GRANDE DONATES $250,000 to PLANNED PARENTHOOD in GA

Ariana Grande donated proceeds from her recent Atlanta concert to Planned Parenthood. Ariana Grande’s generous donation comes at a critical time — in Georgia and across the country, anti-women’s health politicians are trying to ban all safe, legal abortion,” Planned Parenthood president Leana Wen, MD, said in a statement, revealing Grande donated $250,000. Last month, Georgia’s Gov. Brian Kemp signed a six-week abortion ban into law. 

Mary J. Blige will be honored with the lifetime achievement award during the 2019 BET Awards. Blige is an accomplished singer and actress. She has won nine Grammys and earned 32 total nominations. She made history in 2018 when she became the first double nominee in the best supporting actress and best song categories at the Oscars for her work on Mudbound.

Mira Sorvino revealed that she is a rape survivor. During a press conference with Gov. Andrew Cuomo pushing for stricter sexual harassment and rape-reporting laws Sorvino said, “I’m a survivor of date rape. I have never said that in public, because it is impossible to share those kinds of things.” Sorvino did not go into detail on the incident. “You feel shame,” she added. “You feel like it was somehow your fault.”
