2022 OSCAR NOMINATIONS

The 2022 Oscar nominations were announced Tuesday morning. Denzel Washington scored a best Actor nomination for his performance in The Tragedy of Macbeth.  This is his 10th overall Oscar nod and extends his record as the most-nominated Black actor in Academy Awards history. 

Nicole Kidman was nominated for her role in Being the Ricardos. “Lucille Ball is one of Hollywood’s greatest icons. She was ahead of her time. From actress to producer to studio head, mother and wife, she’s an extraordinary inspiration! Thank you Lucille Ball,” said in a statement about her nomination. 

King Richard earned six nominations including one for Will Smith’s performance as Serena and Venus Williams’ father and coach. Beyoncé scored her first Oscar nomination. The Grammy winner is being honored for her song “Be Alive” from the film. “Our film is really nominated for an OSCAR!!!!!!! This is CRAZY!!!!!!! From Compton to Wimbledon to Academy awards. Everyone can dream,” Serena wrote in response to the nominations. 

Kristen Stewart earned a nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role. She was honored for her portrayal of Princess Diana in Spencer. This is Stewart’s first nomination. 

KYLIE JENNER and TRAVIS SCOTT welcome BABY #2

Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott have welcomed their second child together a son. The reality star announced the happy news on Instagram with a picture of the newborn’s hand captioned with a blue heart and 2/2/22. The baby’s name has not been revealed.

Awkwafina addressed the controversy about her use of a blaccent to further her career. “My immigrant background allowed me to carve an American identity off the movies and TV shows I watched, the children I went to public school with, and my undying love and respect for hip-hop,” she wrote in a statement. “But I must emphasize: To mock, belittle or to be unkind in any way possible at the expense of others is: Simply. Not. My. Nature. It never has and it never was.”

Brian Austin Green and Sharna Burgess are expecting their first child together. The couple began dating in the fall of 2020. The Beverly Hills 90210 star is already a father to son Kassius,  from his relationship with Vanessa Marcil, and sons Noah, Bodhi and River from his marriage to  Megan Fox. 

 

KIM KARDASHIAN and KANYE WEST battle on SOCIAL MEDIA

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are feuding on Instagram. West wrote, “Since this is my first divorce I need to know what I should do about my daughter being put on TikTok against my will?” Kardashian fired back in a lengthy post. “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” she wrote. “As the parent who is the main provider and caregiver for our children, I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision — because it brings her happiness.” Kardashian went on to say that she wanted to “handle all matters regarding our children privately.” 

Sarah Jessica Parker does not want Kim Cattrall to appear in HBO’s  And Just Like That. Variety asked Parker if she would be ok with Cattrall joining the reboot. “I don’t think I would,” Parker replied.  “I think there’s just too much public history of feelings on her part that she’s shared. I haven’t participated in or read articles, although people are inclined to let me know.”

 

JUDGES WALK OFF in PROTEST as RUDY GIULIANI revealed as CONTESTANT

Two judges for The Masked Singer reportedly walked off the set after a contestant was unmasked. According to Deadline Ken Jeong and Robin Thicke walked off in protest after Rudy Giuliani was revealed. Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger remained on stage. 

Four men have been arrested in connection to the overdose death of Michael K. Williams . The men were arrested on Tuesday and charged with “conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute fentanyl and heroin.” One of the men Irvin Cartagena is reportedly on surveillance footage selling Williams drugs.  

Channing Tatum revealed that he can’t watch Marvel superhero movies after his superhero movie fell apart. Channing was set to play the X-Men character Gambit in his own movie back in 2016 but the movie was never made. “Once ‘Gambit’ went away, I was so traumatized,” he told Variety. “I shut off my Marvel machine. I haven’t been able to see any of the movies. I loved that character. It was just too sad. It was like losing a friend because I was so ready to play him,” he said.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG suspended from THE VIEW

Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended from The View. ABC President Kim Godwin announced in a statement , “Effectively immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments. While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments.”

Simon Cowell was hospitalized in London after breaking his arm in another bike accident. The “America’s Got Talent” judge crashed his E-bike last Thursday near his home. This is Cowell’s second bike accident in recent months. In August he broke his back while riding near his home in Malibu.  He is reportedly recovering from his most recent accident at home. 

Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth are reportedly expecting their first child together. On January 28th, Goth was photographed baring her baby bump while running errands in Pasadena, California. The couple were married in 2016 and filed for divorce in 2018, but it’s not clear if it was ever finalized. In 2020 the pair were spotted spending time together again. 

MACHINE GUN KELLY changes ALBUM TITLE after getting it TATTOOED

Machine Gun Kelly has decided to change the name of his upcoming album with Travis Barker. Kelly and Barker got matching, Born With Horns tattoos a few months ago to honor their album . Kelly announced the new title on social media. “We’re friends no matter what, right?” the  singer said in a video with Barker. “Remember when we got the new album name tattooed on our arm?” Barker begins laughing as Kelly says that he is changing the album’s name to Mainstream Sellout.  

Whoopi Goldberg apologized for her comments about the Holocaust on The View. “I said the Holocaust wasn’t about race and it was instead about man’s inhumanity to man,” Goldberg said at the open of Tuesday’s episode . “But it was indeed about race because Hitler and the Nazis considered Jews to be an inferior race. Now, words matter and mine are no exception. I regret my comments, as I said, and I stand corrected.”

Hoda Kotb announced that she and Joel Schiffman are calling it quits after eight years together. “Joel and I have had a lot of prayerful and really meaningful conversations over the holidays, and we decided that we’re better as friends and parents than we are as an engaged couple,” Hoda said Monday on Today. 

RIHANNA is PREGNANT!!

Rihanna and A$AP Rocky are expecting their first child together. The pair announced the happy news with a walk in New York City over the weekend showing off her baby bump. The couple have been friends for years and started dating at the end of 2020. 

Lisa Vanderpump was rushed to the hospital this weekend after she was thrown off her horse. According to TMZ the Vanderpump Rules star was riding at The Paddock in Los Angeles when her horse got spooked and she was thrown off breaking her leg in two places. She was rushed to the hospital and will undergo surgery on her leg. She is expected to make a full recovery. 

Nick Cannon confirmed that he and model Bre Tiesi are expecting their first child together. The couple revealed the they will welcome a baby boy later this year. This will be Nick’s 8th child and Bre’s first. 

ALICIA SILVERSTONE FLIPS the BIRD at BODY SHAMING

Alicia Silverstone gave the middle finger to body shaming. The Clueless star shared a paparazzi photo of herself that the photographer captioned, “Alicia Silverstone Candid Fat Photo.” In her post she pops up in front of the photo to give the middle finger. Silverstone captioned the video, “Damn. I think I look good.”

Paris Hilton says there are no bad vibes between her and her former frenemy Lindsay Lohan. “I just feel like we’re grown-ups now. I just got married. She just got engaged. We’re not in high school,” Hilton told Andy Cohen during her appearance on Watch What Happens Live. “ I think it was just very immature and now everything is all good.”

Keith Urban will take over some of Adele’s concert dates at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The country superstar was already booked to play on Memorial Day but with the cancellation of Adele’s Vegas residency Urban has added more shows. Adele abruptly canceled her opening night concert with only 24 hours notice last Thursday. 

 

ERIKA JAYNE may have to SURRENDER $750K DIAMOND EARRINGS

Erika Jayne’s attorney slammed reports that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star knew that the diamond earrings her estranged husband Tom Girardi gifted her were purchased with money he stole from his clients. Jayne might have to surrender the $750K earrings as part of Girardi’s bankruptcy case. For now the pricey diamonds will be held by a third party until a final order has been made. 

Julia Stiles and her husband Preston J. Cook have welcomed their second child together. The Jason Bourne star announced the arrival of her son on Instagram. “Welcome to the world, Baby Arlo!! The newest addition to our family, reminding me how infinite love can be,” Stiles captioned a photo of the newborn’s feet. 

John Krasinski and Steve Carell are set for an on-screen reunion. The Office co-stars will appear alongside each other in the upcoming film IF. Krasinski will also direct the film which is based on his original idea about a child’s journey to rediscover their imagination. 

 

PETER DINKLAGE slams DISNEY’S UPCOMING live-action Snow White

Peter Dinklage slammed Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White. “I was a little taken aback when they were very proud to cast a Latina actress as Snow White. You’re still telling the story of ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.’ Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me,” the Game of Thrones star said on the WTF podcast. “You’re progressive in one way and you’re still making that f—ing backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together, what the f— are you doing man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough.”

Nicky Hilton is pregnant with baby #3. According to People Hilton and her husband James Rothschild will welcome their third child this summer. The couple who tied the knot in 2015 are already parents to two daughters.

Elton John is the latest musician forced to reschedule shows due to COVID. John announced on Instagram the he had tested positive for COVID-19. “Hi everyone, wanted to send a message to let you know that I have contracted COVID and so have had to reschedule my shows in Dallas,” he wrote. “It’s always a massive disappointment to move shows and I’m so sorry to anyone who’s been inconvenienced by this but I want to keep myself and my team safe.”
