ZAC EFRON WINS AN EMMY

Zac Efron took home his first DaytimeEmmy on Sunday night. Efron won Outstanding Daytime program Host for his Netflix series Down to Earth with Zac Efron. He celebrated his win on Instagram writing, “Wow! Never expected this and so grateful.” He also thanked his “small but powerful crew.” Zac assured fans that ,”the next adventure it’s going to be a good one.” He is currently filming season two. 

Jason Momoa has started his Aquaman 2 transformation. “I am finally in England. It is sunny out, it’s amazing. I’m gonna start Aquaman 2 tomorrow,” Momoa said in a video posted to his Instagram on Sunday. “This is the last day of the brown. I’m gonna be a blonde,” he added . “They supposedly have more fun. I don’t know about that, we’ll test it out.” Momoa sported blonde highlights in the first film it’s unclear if he will take it all the way and go fully blonde for the sequel.

Biz Markie passed away after a series of complications from diabetes. The rapper known as The Clown Prince of Hip Hop died at a Baltimore hospital Friday night. “Biz created a legacy of artistry that will forever be celebrated by his industry peers and his beloved fans whose lives he was able to touch through music, spanning over 35 years,” his manager said in a  statement. He first made a name for himself, in 1989 when his single “Just a Friend” became a Top 40 hit in multiple countries and went platinum. RIP

ASHTON KUTCHER gave up his seat to go TO SPACE FOR HIS FAMILY

Ashton Kutcher bought a seat on Virgin Galactic’s private spaceship almost a decade ago but he got rid of his ticket. “When I got married and had kids, my wife basically encouraged that it was not a smart family decision to be heading into space when we have young children. So I ended up selling my ticket back to Virgin Galactic,” Kutcher told Cheddar news. “And I was supposed to be on the next flight.” Kutcher added, “At some point, I’m going to space.”

Antonio Banderas will co-star in Indiana Jones 5. According to Deadline Banderas has closed a deal to star alongside Harrison Ford. The film is currently in production and is set to premiere in July 2022. Details on the films plot and Banderas’ role are still vague. 

Irina Shayk is denying that her romance with Kanye West is over. A source told People, “Irina is so upset at the lies about her and Kanye.” West recently traveled without the model to Paris during Fashion Week and that sparked rumors that the pair had split. According to the source Kanye did not invite Irina because it was a quick trip for the Balenciaga show only. 

RAPPER BIZ MARKIE dead at 57 RIP

Rapper Biz Markie has passed away. According to TMZ Biz died after a series of complications from diabetes. A family source told the outlet that he passed away at a Baltimore hospital at 6:25pm Friday night. He was born in Harlem and first made a name for himself, nationally and internationally, in 1989 when his single “Just a Friend” became a Top 40 hit in multiple countries and went platinum. RIP

AJ MCLEAN is 100% TEAM BRITNEY

Backstreet Boy AJ McLean is, “100 percent Team Britney.” AJ along with his bandmate Nick Carter appeared on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live on Wednesday. He described the last time he saw Britney at a cupcake shop where he just happened to bump into her and said it “broke his heart.” I, “went in, she was there, she looked right at me and I was like, ‘Hey, it’s AJ!’ And she just kind of had this glass face,” he said. “And then she realized it was me and we hugged and we talked for a brief moment. But I could just see that this wasn’t her, like, I’m not looking at the person I knew from years and years ago.” 

Gigi Hadid will replace Chrissy Teigen on the Netflix series Never Have I Ever. Teigen was slated for a guest voiceover role in one episode of the upcoming second season of the show. She decided to step away from the role after admitting to claims she cyber bullied Courtney Stodden and others online in the past. 

The Foo Fighters announced that they will postpone their Los Angeles concert due to a confirmed case of Covid-19 within their organization. The band was scheduled to play the Forum on Saturday. The announcement did not specify a new date it just said that it will be announced shortly. 

BRITNEY WINS BIG IN COURT!! She can Hire New Attorney!!

Judge Brenda Penny ruled on Wednesday that Britney Spears can hire her own attorney to represent her in her battle to end her conservatorship . “This conservatorship is literally allowing my dad to ruin my life,” the pop star said. “I’m here to get rid of my dad and charge him with conservatorship abuse,” she said. “I want an investigation into my dad.”

Zendaya told Entertainment Weekly that she was surprised by the controversy over her character Lola Bunny in Space Jam: A New Legacy.  She said she “didn’t know” any backlash would come out of the difference in Lola’s appearance compared to her look in the original film. Zendaya said she realizes the character of Lola is “special to a lot of people and their childhoods and they’ve been able to grow up with her, so I get that sense of protection.”

Nicolas Cage revealed that he no longer plans to take on the role of Joe Exotic. Cage told Variety, “I read two excellent scripts, which I did think were excellent, but I think Amazon ultimately felt that it was material that had become past tense because it took so long for it come together,” he said. “They felt at one point that it was lightning in a bottle, but that point has since faded into the distance and it’s no longer relevant.”

JASON SUDEIKIS opened up about his split from OLIVIA WILDE

Jason Sudeikis broke his silence on his split from Olivia Wilde, saying he hopes the end of their relationship will make more sense in the future. “I’ll have a better understanding of why in a year,” he told GQ, “and an even better one in two, and an even greater one in five.” Sudeikis told the magazine that the split happened in November 2020. “That’s an experience that you either learn from or make excuses about,” he said. “You take some responsibility for it, hold yourself accountable for what you do, but then also endeavor to learn something beyond the obvious from it.”

Jerry O’Connell is reportedly in talks to replace Sharon Osbourne  on The Talk. “He will bring a very different energy than Sharon did to set,” an insider told E! News. O’Connell has appeared on the show as a guest host in more than 25 episodes so far this year. 

Heidi Klum fully supports Victoria’s Secret rebranding efforts. “About time, is all I can say. About time,” the former Angel told The Sunday Project at the relaunch. “As a model, you go there, you are happy to have a job. When you are not the company, you do what you are told. But finally, looking at this now, I’m like, about time.” 

PARIS HILTON will be COOKING AT NETFLIX

Paris Hilton is partnering with Netflix for Cooking with Paris.  According to the streaming service the show is, “Inspired by her viral YouTube videos, Paris will take us from the grocery store to the finished table spread – and she might actually learn her way around the kitchen.”

Former Drake & Josh actor Drake Bell was sentenced to two years of probation on Monday for charges involving endangerment of a child in Ohio. The woman, now 19, said she was 15 when she exchanged texts of a sexual nature with the actor, whom she had met through her aunt at the age of 12. She also claimed in her court statement that Bell had sexually assaulter her. Bell’s attorney, Ian Friedman denied that any assault took place.

Cedric the Entertainer will host the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards in September. In a statement, Cedric said, “Since I was a little boy huddled up next to my grandmother, television has always been my reliable friend, so it is an enormous honor for me to host this year’s Emmy Awards.”

Matthew Morrison and his wife Renee have welcomed their second baby. The couple revealed that their daughter Phoenix Monroe was born on June 28th in a statement to People. The pair are already parents to 3-year-old son, Revel. 

MATT DAMON turned down AVATAR

Matt Damon hosted a masterclass at the Cannes Film Festival. He is at the festival for the premiere of his new film Stillwater. Damon shared during the class that he turned down the lead in Avatar. “I was offered a little movie called Avatar, James Cameron offered me 10% of it,” he recalled. “I will go down in history… you will never meet an actor who turned down more money.” Damon explained that he was shooting the Jason Bourne movies and made the “moral” decision not to the leave that franchise in the lurch. 

Paul Verhoeven, the director of Basic Instinct responded to Sharon Stone’s claim that she was misled about how the movie’s infamous leg-crossing scene would be filmed. Stone wrote in her memoir that she had been assured that her crotch would not be visible on screen. “My memory is radically different from Sharon’s memory,” Verhoeven told Variety. “Her version is impossible,” he said . “She knew exactly what we were doing. I told her it was based on a story of a woman that I knew when I was a student who did the crossing of her legs without panties regularly at parties.” 

Valerie Bertinelli posted a powerful response to a troll who made a comment about her weight on social media. The One Day At A Time star posted a tearful video on Instagram. “If I could lose the weight and keep it off I would, but since I haven’t been successful with that my whole entire life, at 61, I’m still dealing with it.” She added, “Not f—king helpful.”

 

JADA PINKETT SMITH opened up about her PAST SUBSTANCE ABUSE

Jada Pinkett Smith opened up about her past substance abuse during the latest episode of Red Table Talk. She recalled an incident during filming of the 1996 version of The Nutty Professor, alongside Eddie Murphy. “I went to work high, and it was a bad batch of ecstasy, and I passed out.” Smith said her usual cocktail was ecstasy, weed and alcohol . “I was like, this is not cocaine. This is not heroin. I wasn’t doing things that I thought was addictive, but I would do those three together.”

Chad Michael Murray revealed that he gets nothing but love from fans of Gilmore Girls for his character Tristin. “One response I always get about Tristin is how much they love him,” he shared during his appearance on Today. “They really do. I’ve never had anyone come up to me and say—which you would think I would receive all the time—no one has ever come up to me and said, ‘Tristin was a jerk. Why did you call her Mary?’ It never happened.”

Marilyn Manson turned himself in to the police in L.A. on Friday. The shock rocker had an arrest warrant issued back in 2019 in New Hampshire over an alleged spitting incident at a concert. Manson was processed and released on bail. Manson faces two counts of simple assault and has been given a future court date.
