“Game of Thrones” stars turned out for Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie’s wedding

The King of the North Jon Snow finally married wildling Ygritte – IRL. Over the weekend, actors Kit Harrington and Rose Leslie tied the knot in a Scottish church and then partied at a reception in a freaking castle. So basically it was the royal wedding of “Game of Thrones” fans’ dreams.

Here the Mother of Dragons, Queen Daenerys Targaryen, appears with her Hand, Lord Tyrion Lannister:

The Stark sisters arrived in matching outfits – Sansa in a red minidress and black knee-high boots, and Arya in a black jumpsuit with red peep-toes:

Samwell Tarly, Gendry Baratheon and Eddison Tollett, just hangin’:

Davos Seaworth, looking pretty badass:

And after the wedding, the happy couple celebrated:

This is just the kind of news that will sustain us until Season 8 drops in 2019. We’re counting the days, y’all.

Amazon’s newest Prime feature might just change the way we shop for clothes

We’ve all been there – staring at an outfit online that we’re just sure would look great, if only we could try on a few different sizes to pick the best fit. Now Amazon has solved that problem with Amazon Prime Wardrobe. The newest Prime initiative, which aims to bring the fitting room to our doorsteps, has just officially come out of beta and launched nationwide for all members of the Prime program.

Amazon Prime Wardrobe is most appealing because of its price point – free. Fill a Prime Wardrobe cart with women’s, men’s or kid’s clothes, shoes, and accessories. Try everything on at home during a 7-day period. Return what you don’t want and pay only for what you keep. “Unsure of what size to order? Order multiple sizes of the same item,” says the Amazon blog announcing the news. “Looking for a wardrobe update? Fill the Prime Wardrobe cart with three or more styles and try them on risk-free. Considering the newest trend but unsure it’ll work? It’s easy to try before you buy.”

For those of us who itch at the thought of milling around a department store with hordes of other shoppers – this Amazon Prime Wardrobe perk might be the answer.

Late R&B singer Aaliyah now has a MAC makeup line

R&B singer Aaliyah, who was 22 when she was killed in a plane crash in 2001, was the inspiration behind a new line of MAC cosmetics. The MAC x Aaliyah collection’s site says it’s “powered by 90’s glam” and calls out “Aaliyah superfans everywhere” for making the collaboration happen.

“Aaliyah is truly one in a million — an unstoppable icon whose groundbreaking work in R&B music and film continues to inspire us all,” the MAC website says. “Now, M·A·C Aaliyah lets countless fans celebrate their devotion to the music and style trailblazer of a generation.”

Though the makeup just went on sale online yesterday and in stores today, the full 12-piece $250 collection already sold out. Snag yourself an “Age Ain’t Nothing” eyeshadow palette for $32 or a “More than a Woman” lipstick for $18.50 instead.

Some lucky NYC subway riders got a performance from Christina Aguilera

Christina Aguilera dressed down, disguised herself with a floppy brown hat and sunglasses, and sang her heart out for a very lucky group of subway riders in New York City. The pop star’s voice seemed to draw a crowd pretty fast, but many still looked surprised when she revealed her signature blond locks. The moment was part of a segment for “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

The Mountain from “Game of Thrones” drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters

The Harlem Globetrotters held their 12th annual draft today, selecting three collegiate players, a soccer player, and Thor Björnsson, the Icelandic actor who plays Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane on HBO’s “Game of Thrones.”

As you may have guessed, the 6’9″ actor and former pro basketball player’s physical attributes have won him quite a few honors. This year, he became the first person in the world to win the World’s Strongest Man, Europe’s Strongest Man and the Arnold Strongman Classic in the same year. A few months ago, the man lifted 1,041 lbs. to break the Elephant Bar deadlift world record. Um, ok, wow. That’s a lot of pounds.

Unfortunately for Thor’s fans, being drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters isn’t actually a guarantee that a player will be on the world-famous exhibition basketball team – but here’s to hoping.

Fashion and art in Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s surprise video

Beyoncé and Jay-Z released a surprise album over the weekend, basically a third installment in the story of their marriage. The series started with Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” in 2016 and the revelation that Jay-Z had likely cheated on our Queen Bey. The next in the series was Jay-Z’s equally emotional “4:44,” which was released almost exactly a year ago, on June 30, 2017. Now we have the couple credited jointly as The Carters on the album that dropped over the weekend, titled “Everything is Love.” Given the timeline and the new title, the Carters are presenting an ultra united front that speaks to the kind of team-player relationship we can all aspire to.

It’s worth noting that Beyoncé has recently been sneaking history into her videos and appearances, for instance delivering an education on historically black colleges in her April Coachella performance. This video for the new track, “APES**T,” shot in the Louvre in Paris, is following suit. Pay close attention to the imagery in the video – you’ll catch both recognizably famous pieces of art as well as lesser known pieces, alongside the usual instantly iconic fashion moments (both of them draped in Versace!):

Meghan Markle wore a gift from the Queen for their first royal outing

The Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle had her first solo appearance with Queen Elizabeth this week, and as usual she made fashion headlines – this time for a gorgeous pair of pearl and diamond stud earrings. Royal correspondents are reporting that the earrings were a gift from the Queen’s personal collection.

We can’t help but notice that the Queen wore a similar pair of earrings, with what looks like a slightly larger pearl.

“Jurassic Park” turned 25

“Jurassic Park” was released on June 11, 1993, which means the iconic film has just turned 25 years old.

Not only do we have the new movie, “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom,” to look forward to on June 22, but also a new amusement ride at Universal Studios Hollywood set to open in 2019. While we wait for “Countdown to Extinction of Jurassic Park—The Ride,” fans can catch a glimpse of Blue at both Universal Studios in Hollywood and Orlando, on the new “Raptor Encounter” experiences. Blue is the raptor trained by Owen Grady, played by Chris Pratt, in the Jurassic World movies. According to the press release, “With their intimidating eye contact and ear-piercing screeches that reinforce predatory dominance, each Raptor bares 56 razor-sharp, bone-crushing teeth and lunges forward with curved talons that extend up to 12 inches from their 18-inch-long feet. Towering 12 feet in height and 15 feet—from tail to snout—the aggressive carnivores will each succumb to highly skilled handlers who adeptly guide them to within feet of guests.”

And while you’re at it, bring the kids to the new Jurassic World Kids’ Suites at Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Studios Orlando. Just look at these ridiculously cute Isla Nublar gyrosphere beds:
