Bill Nye is suing Disney. Nye claims that Disney owes him more that $9 million in earnings for Bill Nye the Science Guy. He has accused Disney of fraud and breach of contract in the lawsuit filed Thursday in Los Angeles. Nye alleges that Disney withheld $28 million in profits from distribution of the show. He claims Disney owned Buena Vista stopped making royalty payments in 2008 because of dispute over his 2007 Science Guy earnings.
In an interview with the Guardian, James Cameron shared some of his thoughts on box office smash, Wonder Woman. “All of the self-congratulatory back-patting Hollywood’s been doing over ‘Wonder Woman’ has been so misguided. She’s an objectified icon, and it’s just male Hollywood doing the same old thing!” Cameron went on to say that the movie was, “a step backwards.”
Coldplay canceled their concert tonight in Houston due to Hurricane Harvey. “We really wanted to play tonight, but sitting here all together watching the news about the storm, we feel that we can’t ask anyone to put their safety at risk. So sadly we will have to postpone,” the band wrote on Twitter. Mary J. Blige also rescheduled her Friday night show due to the hurricane.
