Christina Aguilera is done with The Voice. The pop star was one of the original coaches for the singing competition when it premiered in 2011. In the May 5 issue of Billboard Aguilera said doing the show was an “energy sucker.” Aguilera says she felt “suffocated and restricted” during her time with the show. “I didn’t get into this business to be a television show host and to be given all these [rules]. Especially as a female: You can’t wear this, can’t say that.” Over time, Aguilera felt, “It became something that I didn’t feel was what I had signed up for in Season 1. You realize it’s not about music. It’s about making good TV moments and massaging a story.”
Sandra Bullock’s stalker killed himself after a police standoff. Police officers responded to the home of Joshua James Corbett on Wednesday in response to a possible parole violation. When officers arrived he barricade himself inside and following a standoff died of a self-inflicted injury. Last May Corbett was sentenced to five years of probation for stalking Bullock and breaking into her home in 2014.
Former 90210 star Shenae Grimes-Beech is expecting her first child, a daughter with her husband Josh. “I can’t believe our world is about to get a whole lot bigger and brighter, and can’t wait to embark on this wild ride with my partner in crime,” Grimes told People. The couple tied the knot in 2013.
