Colin Farrell is reprising his role of Oz Cobb the title character for the HBO series The Penguin. Farrell shared that he and Danny DeVito who played the villain in Tim Burton’s Batman Returns have an ongoing text chat. Farrell said that he and DeVito “shared a few texts back and forth” about the character, but that it was more to joke around “about who’s the best Penguin.”
Harvey Weinstein entered a not guilty plea to new charges at his arraignment on Wednesday in New York. The new indictment is sealed, but Variety reports it is a “criminal sex act charge.” Weinstein appeared in court in a wheelchair, after having heart surgery last week. The disgraced producer was convicted of third-degree rape and a first-degree criminal sex act in 2020. He was sentenced to 23 years in prison, but that conviction was overturned on appeal in April.
Members of Nelly’s St. Lunatic crew are suing him for his album Country Grammar. In a complaint filed Wednesday in Manhattan federal court, attorneys for the St. Lunatics allege that Nelly repeatedly “manipulated” them into falsely thinking they’d be paid for their work on the 2000 album, . “Despite repeatedly promising plaintiffs that they would receive full recognition and credit… it eventually became clear that defendant Haynes had no intention of providing the plaintiffs with any such credit or recognition,” the group’s attorneys wrote.
