Dirty Dancing is getting a sequel . According to Deadline Jennifer Grey who starred in the original film will return and also serve as an executive producer . “It will be exactly the kind of romantic, nostalgic movie that the franchise’s fans have been waiting for and that have made it the biggest-selling library title in the company’s history,” Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer told the outlet .The original film was released in 1987 and earner over $214 million worldwide.
Selena Gomez is returning to television. She is set to star alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short in Hulu’s comedy series Only Murders in the Building. The comedy created and written by Martin and John Hoffman follows three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. Gomez will play the third stranger alongside Short and Martin.
Lionsgate revealed that John Wick 5 is in the works. “We’re also busy preparing scripts for the next two installments of our John Wick action franchise, with John Wick 4 slated to hit theaters Memorial Day weekend 2022. We hope to shoot both John Wick 4 and 5 back-to-back when Keanu becomes available early next year,” the studio’s CEO announced. John Wick 4’s release was pushed back from 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
