George Clooney criticized the media’s treatment of Duchess Meghan and he compared her treatment to that received by Princess Diana. ”They’re just chasing Meghan Markle everywhere,” Clooney told reporters at a promotional event for his new film. “She’s a woman who is seven months pregnant and she is being pursued and vilified and chased in the same way that Diana was, and it’s history repeating itself. And we’ve seen how that ends.”
Katy Perry pulled two problematic shoe designs from her Katy Perry Collections after comments that they resembled racist imagery. The Rue Face Slip-On Loafers and the high-heeled Ora Face Block Heel Sandal are being removed from shelves and taken off the company’s website. “I was saddened when it was brought to my attention that it was being compared to painful images reminiscent of blackface. Our intention was never to inflict any pain,” Perry said in a statement released in conjunction with apparel company Global Brands Group.
Eddie Murphy is coming to America, again! Paramount confirmed Monday that a sequel to “Coming to America,” is set to hit theaters next year. Murphy is expected to star in the film which has been in the works for several years. The original film was released in 1988 and earned nearly $300 million at the the box office.
