HAYDEN PANETTIERE reveals past OPIOID ADDICTION

Hayden Panettiere revealed that she battled alcohol and opioid addiction. She opened up about her struggles in an interview with People. She said she was first offered “happy pills” around the age of 15. “They were to make me peppy during interviews. I had no idea that this was not an appropriate thing, or what door that would open for me when it came to my addiction.” She said she managed to keep things under control while on set but off set “things kept getting out of control.” The Nashville star did an 8 month stint in rehab to break the “cycle of self-destruction.”

Bette Midler and Macy Gray have responded to the backlash they have received over recent comments that were deemed transphobic. Midler was slammed for tweeting, “They don’t call us ‘women’ anymore; they call us ‘birthing people’ or ‘menstruators, and even ‘people with vaginas’!” On Tuesday she tried to explain. “There was no intention of anything exclusionary or transphobic in what I said; it wasn’t about that,” the Hocus Pocus star wrote.

Grey issued a statement to explain her comments on Piers Morgan Uncensored. “I will say this and everyone’s gonna hate me but as a woman, just because you go change your (body) parts, doesn’t make you a woman, sorry,” the singer said while appearing on the show. On Tuesday she issued a statement saying,”I have nothing but love for the LGBTQ+ and transgender community and have been a supporter since day one. My statement on Piers Morgan was grossly misunderstood. I don’t hate anyone,” she said. “I respect everyone’s right to feel comfortable in their bodies and live their own truth.”
