Baby it’s cold outside. So if you’re one of the many people who received an Instant Pot as a gift this holiday season, here’s a recipe to get you started using it right away to fight those winter blues.
Instant Pot Apple Cider
INGREDIENTS
7 Apples, cored and quartered (our favorites are Honey Crisp, but this is up to you)
1 Orange, peeled and segmented
1 Lemon, peeled and segmented
½ cup fresh cranberries
2 cinnamon sticks
½ tsp. whole cloves
½ cup honey (or sugar, syrup, etc.)
Water
DIRECTIONS
Put your fruit, cinnamon and cloves into the Instant Pot’s inner pot and add enough water to cover the ingredients. Put the lid on and cook on high pressure for 15 minutes. Use the natural release feature, or wait ten minutes to do a quick release. Use a potato masher (or mojito muddler if that’s what you have handy) to smash the softened fruit, which releases the juices. Now strain the liquid deliciousness, pour into cups, garnish for fun, and enjoy!
