I’m pretty sure I’m almost out the door,” he said. “I’m getting out anyway because I realize that radio is affecting my health. When I’m home on the weekends I’m fine, ”Stern told his co-host Robin Quivers.

On Monday Aretha Franklin was awarded a Pulitzer Prize Special Citation, “for her indelible contribution to American music and culture for more than five decades.” The honor makes the Queen of Soul the first individual woman to earn a special citation prize since the honor was first awarded back in 1930. Franklin died of pancreatic cancer on Aug. 18, 2018 at her Detroit home.
