Jay Leno responded to Gabrielle Union’s exit from America’s Got Talent. “ I love Gabrielle Union, she’s a great girl. I really enjoyed working with her,” Leno told TMZ. “I don’t know if she was treated fairly.” The comedian was a guest judge on the competition show during season 14. He was mentioned in a report by Variety that alleged racist jokes on the show factored into her firing.
There is a Mary J. Blige documentary in the works. According to The Hollywood Reporter Sean Combs will executive produce the film about the Grammy winner for Amazon Prime Video. Blige will also executive produce the untitled documentary.
Robert De Niro defended Anna Paquin’s role in The Irishman. The True Blood star portray’s Peggy, De Niro’s character’s daughter in the film. She only has seven lines in the entire film. “She was very powerful and that’s what it was,” De Niro told USA Today. “Maybe in other scenes there could’ve been some interaction between Frank and her possibly, but that’s how it was done. She’s terrific and it resonates.”
