Talk Show host Jerry Springer has died at the age of 79. Springer died peacefully Thursday in his Chicago home after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. “Jerry’s ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word,” his family said in a statement. The Jerry Springer show aired from 1991 to 2018 and was infamous for it’s controversial material.
Jackass star Bam Margera has turned himself in to authorities in Pennsylvania. Margera allegedly punched his brother during an altercation four days earlier. He was arraigned and plead not guilty. According to court records he was released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
Nicolas Cage opened up about some of his “crummy” movie roles in an interview with 60 Minutes. Cage said he took the roles to get out of debt after some poor business decisions. “The real estate market crashed and I couldn’t get out in time,” he said. “I paid them all back, but it was about $6 million. I never filed for bankruptcy.” The Con-Air star said that “work was always my guardian angel.”
