KATHIE LEE is LEAVING TODAY

Kathie Lee Gifford is leaving the Today show after 11 years. She made the announcement on Tuesday alongside her co-host Hoda Kotb. “I have something to share with everybody, and it’s bittersweet, as these things always are,” Gifford said. “I’ve been here almost 11 years—thought I would stay here one year. Something happened along the way: I fell in love with a beautiful Egyptian goddess. And now, when it’s our 11th anniversary I’m going to be leaving the Today show.”

Diane Kruger and Norman Reedus are the parents of a baby girl. Kruger revealed that sex of their newborn to Extra while promoting her new movie Welcome to Marwen. “She’s very little, but I’m tired. I feel like a superhero right now,” she told the outlet.

Sophia Bush revealed why she decided to leave Chicago P.D. on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast. Bush opened up about being “really unhappy” while working on the series and she quit the show in season four despite having seven-year contract. After complaining multiple times, she sat down with her two bosses following the table read of the season 4 premiere. Her bosses said there was no way she could get out of her contract so she gave them a choice. “I said, ‘OK, you can put me in the position of going quietly of my own accord or you can put me in the position of suing the network to get me out of my deal and I’ll write an op-ed for The New York Times and tell them why.’”
