Maria Sharapova has been banned from competing for two years by an International Tennis Federation tribunal for doping. Sharapova admitted to failing drug test during the Australian Open this year. She tested positive for a drug called meldonium which became a banned substance on January 1st. Sharapova said she will appeal the suspension.
Ed Sheeran is being sued for $20 million by Martin Harrington and Thomas Leonard and their publishing company HaloSongs. The lawsuit alleges that Sheeran’s song Photograph is a copy of their 2009 song Amazing. They are seeking statutory damages as well as either a running royalty or an injunction.
Richard’s Simmons rep shot down reports that the fitness guru was taking steps to transition into a woman. “He is not transitioning into a woman. he has decided to live quietly for the last few years,” Tom Estey said in a statement. Simmons was recently released from the hospital after a brief stay.
