Michael J. Fox and his wife Tracy Pollan stepped out for his foundation’s annual A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Cure Parkinson’s gala on Saturday, “I can’t believe — a lot of these people I’ve known for years and years — they’re so kind to me,” Fox told People. “I think because they see an opportunity for a win, for a big advancement, and that’s what we’re working toward.” During the event, which raised $116 million towards Parkinson’s research, Fox also showed off his guitar skills with a performance on stage.
Josh Brolin opened up about his past in his upcoming memoir From Under the Truck. In his book Brolin recalled getting stabbed on the street in Costa Rica in 2013 after being asked for a cigarette or money by a stranger. Brolin wrote that he was “stabbed in the belly button,” which ultimately saved his life. “The umbilical ligament is the densest ligament in the body and it slowed the knife down enough to stop it from hitting any vitals,” he wrote.
Betty White will be memorialized with her own postage stamp next year. The U.S Postal Service announced that one of its 2025 Forever Stamps will be an illustration of the beloved Golden Girls star. In a release featuring a sneak peek of the stamp, the Postal Service called White an “icon of American television” who “shared her wit and warmth with viewers for seven decades.”
