Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino sentenced to 8 months in federal prison

Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has been sentenced to 8 months in federal prison for tax evasion. He was also sentenced to two years of supervised release, 500 hours of community service and a fine of $10,000. The reality  star appeared in  federal court in Newark, New Jersey on Friday morning with his fiancée Lauren Pesce. His Jersey Shore cast mates were also there to show their support. Sorrentino and his brother Marc were originally indicted in September 2014 for tax offenses. 

According to TMZ Ryan Lochte has a serious alcohol problem. “Ryan has been battling from alcohol addiction for many years and unfortunately it has become a destructive pattern for him,” Lochte’s lawyer, Jeff Ostrow told TMZ. “He has acknowledged that he needs professional assistance to overcome his problem and will be getting help immediately.” According to the outlet, the announcement  comes one day after the Olympic swimmer tried to kick down his hotel room door, while under the influence, in Newport Beach, California Thursday morning. The police were called, but no arrests were made.

Country music superstar Zac Brown and his wife Shelly are calling it quits after 12 years of marriage. The couple announced the news in a joint statement. “We feel blessed to be on such an incredible journey in life and sometimes the journey begins to lead in different directions,” they said. “It is with deep love and respect that we announce we are separating as a couple.”
