After news of Joe Biden’s victory swept thru the United States an old Miley Cyrus song leaped back onto the charts. Miley’s 2009 hit song Party In The U.S.A broke through the iTunes Top 200 chart in the U.S. Cyrus responded to her song’s reemergence via Twitter, sharing her excitement for Biden and Kamala Harris’ victory. “Now this is a party in the U.S.A.!” she wrote.
Viola Davis opened up about Chadwick Boseman in a new interview for InStyle. “He was a beautiful man and a great artist,” Davis said. “He was someone who had a quality that very few have today, whether young or old, which is a total commitment to the art form of acting. Regardless of ego, regardless of any of it. He was with the same agent he had when he started his career.” Davis and Boseman both appeared in the 2014 film Get on Up and the upcoming Netflix movie, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.
Alex Trebek has died at the age of 80 after battling pancreatic cancer. The beloved Jeopardy! host’s death was confirmed in a statement posted on the gameshow’s Twitter account. “Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning, surrounded by family and friend Thank you, Alex,” the statement read. “Jeopardy!” will continue to air episodes hosted by Trebek through Christmas Day. There are currently no plans for announcing a new host.
