Alfonso Ribeiro is suing the makers of Fortnite and NBA2K18 for stealing the Carlton dance. In two lawsuits filed Monday, Ribeiro said the companies have “unfairly profited” from using his likeness and from exploiting his “protected creative expression.” Both games feature a virtual dance that players can download during gameplay. In NBA 2k the dance is called “So Fresh” and in Fortnite it’s called “Fresh”. Both are obvious nods to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air . Ribeiro is seeking to prevent the sale or inclusion of the dance in both games as well as damages.
Geoffrey Rush has denied claims he acted inappropriately towards Orange is the New Black star Yael Stone. She said in a series of interviews that Rush sent sexually suggestive text messages, exposed himself and attempted to watch her shower during their stint together in “Diary of a Madman” in 2010 and 2011. “From the outset I must make it clear that the allegations of inappropriate behavior made by Yael Stone are incorrect and in some instances have been taken completely out of context,” Rush said in a statement to CNN. “However, clearly Yael has been upset on occasion by the spirited enthusiasm I generally bring to my work. I sincerely and deeply regret if I have caused her any distress. This, most certainly, has never been my intention.”
