Andy Samberg opened up about his exit from SNL during his appearance on Hart to Hart with Kevin Hart. “Physically, it was taking a heavy toll on me and I got to a place where I was like I hadn’t slept in seven years basically,” Samberg said. “They told me straight up, ‘We prefer you would stay,’ and I was like, ‘Oh, that makes it harder,’” Samberg added about his exit. “But I just was like, I think to get back to a feeling of like mental and physical health, I have to do it. So I did it and it was a very difficult choice.”
Testimony in Alec Baldwin’s manslaughter trial was halted on Friday and the jury was sent home for the day as the Judge considers a new motion by the actor’s legal team to have the case thrown out based on allegations prosecutors did not properly turn over evidence. The judge has ordered additional witnesses to testify before she renders a ruling on Baldwin’s motion to dismiss the case.
