Showtime acquires the rights to adapt Clinton/Patterson thriller

Grab the popcorn! Though the book is months away from actually being published and available to audiences, the rights to the novel, “The President is Missing,” written by James Patterson and former President Bill Clinton, have already sold to Showtime to be adapted into a TV show. Of course this level of interest isn’t surprising, given that Patterson is a bestselling author and that this is the first time an American President has ever co-authored a thriller. Now we’re left eagerly awaiting both the TV show and the June 2018 publishing date for the book because, as Patterson said, “The White House is such an exciting world to explore and is made even more so with the unique insights of a former President.”
