Mariah Carey is set to co-executive produce a scripted drama about her life for Starz. According to Deadline the show will focus on the singer’s rise to fame. The drama is set in 1986 in New York City and chronicles the rise of an ambitious 16-year-old aspiring singer-songwriter who survived a difficult childhood and becomes the biggest selling female music artist of all time.
