Sofia Vergara is the queen of TV again. The Modern Family star is the highest paid actress on the small screen . She tops the Forbes list for the seventh year in a row with $42.5 million. Kaley Cuoco comes in at #2. The Big Bang Star brought in $24.5 million. Ellen Pompeo is at number three with $23.5 million. Law & Order: SVU star Mariska Hargitay comes in at number #4 and rounding out the top five is Vergara’s Modern Family co-star Julie Bowen.
Johnny Depp’s time as Jack Sparrow could be over. According to reports Depp will not appear in any further Pirates of the Caribbean films. Disney Studios has confirmed they are planning a major reboot for the franchise. Script writer Stuart Beattie revealed in an interview with DailyMailTV that they were planning on reworking the whole franchise – and that Johnny Depp wouldn’t appear in the reboot.
Clueless is getting a remake and we are “totally buggin.” Paramount Pictures is developing a remake of its 1995 teen classic with “Girls Trip” writer Tracy Oliver producing. The original was directed and written by Amy Heckerling, was set at a Beverly Hills high school and starred Alicia Silverstone as Cher Horowitz. The movie inspired a three-season television spin-off and recently a Broadway musical starring Dove Cameron, which premieres next month.
