TIME honors “the silence breakers”

Time Magazine has named “the silence breakers” its person of the year 2017.The cover features five woman who have come forward. Ashley Judd one of the first woman to come forward against Harvey Weinstein and Taylor Swift who successfully countersued a Colorado DJ who had been fired after Swift accused him of groping her are among the women on the cover who have come forward to report sexual misconduct and help spark the #MeToo movement.

Beyonce made a surprise appearance Tuesday night to honor Colin Kaepernick with the Muhammad Ali Legacy Award at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards’. “Thank you Colin Kaepernick. Thank you for your selfless heart, and your conviction. Thank you for your personal sacrifice. Colin took action with no fear of consequence or repercussion only hope to change the world for the better,” Beyoncé said as she presented him with the award.

Hugh Jackman revealed during an interview with Variety that he got a call from an agent asking him if he’d be interested in taking on the role of James Bond back when he was about to do X-Men 2. Jackman said he didn’t even consider the role. “I just felt at the time that the scripts had become so unbelievable and crazy, and I felt like they needed to become grittier and real,” Jackman said. ” And the response was: ‘Oh, you don’t get a say. You just have to sign on.’ I was also worried that between Bond and ‘X-Men,’ I’d never have time to do different things.”
