TOM CRUISE AWARDED HIGHEST CIVILIAN HONOR BY NAVY

Tom Cruise was awarded the Navy’s highest civilian honor for “outstanding contributions” to the military with his on screen roles. The Distinguished Public Service Award was presented to Cruise during a ceremony on Tuesday. “I admire all of the servicemen and women,” the Top Gun star said at the event. “I know in life, something that is very true to me, is that to lead is to serve. And I know that to my core. And I see that in the servicemen and women.”

Jamie Foxx was injured at his recent birthday dinner. “Some one from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth,” a spokesperson for Foxx said. “He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.” Foxx referenced the incident on social media posting, “The devil is busy..but I’m too blessed to be stressed.”

Netflix announced that Mike Tyson will be the subject of an upcoming docuseries. It will consist of three hour long episodes and according to the press release, it will take an “unflinching look at the life of the legendary boxer and cultural icon.” Tyson said in a statement, “Having an opportunity to share my story through the reflective lens of my growth and maturity in a multi-part documentary on Netflix will be a challenging journey, yet a very welcoming one.”
