Wyclef Jean said he was detained and handcuffed Tuesday in West Hollywood. Police were searching for a robbery suspect and Jean’s car reportedly matched the description of the suspect’s vehicle. “I was asked by the police to put my hands up. Then I was told do not move. I was instantly handcuffed before being asked to identify myself and before being told why,” Jean said in a statement. He also posted a video of the incident to social media. Jean can be heard in the video saying he is “going to sue the LAPD.” A suspect was later arrested.
Mel B has filed for divorce form her husband Stephen Belafonte after nearly 10 years of marriage. The former Spice Girl citied irreconcilable differences for the split and she is seeking joint custody of their 5-year-old daughter together. She also requested the judge deny spousal support for Belafonte. The couple were married in July 2007.
Mariah Carey took to social media Tuesday to announce a movie based upon her song All I Want For Christmas Is You. “I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of my favorite Christmas song to new generations of families with my upcoming new animated movie, Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas Is You.
