Alex Trebek is recovering from brain surgery. Trebek shared the news on Thursday night. “Some of you may have heard by now that during the holiday break, I had a slight medical problem,” Alex shared in a video. “Subdural hematoma: Blood clots on the brain caused by a fall I endured about two months ago.” He continued “Surgery was performed. After two days in the hospital, I came home to start recovery.” Filming of Jeopardy! will stop for now while its longtime host takes some time off. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Helena Bonham Carter will join Netflix’s The Crown for season 3. She will take on the role of the Queen’s sister, Princess Margaret. Olivia Colman will be replacing Carie Foy as Queen Elizabeth II, a role that Bonham Carter had been linked too.
Oscar winning filmmaker Paul Haggis has been accused of sexual misconduct by four women, including two rapes. Three recent charges came to light after one woman filed a civil suit against the director late last year over charges of sexual assault. All four woman have remained anonymous. Two of the woman say they fought him off and escaped and two claim they were raped. Haggis and his attorney have denied all of the accusations.
