Kimora Lee Simmons defended her ex-husband Russell Simmons amid rape allegations. Kimora wrote on Instagram Thursday, “I have known Russell for over 25 years. We were close friends, married, divorced and have remained friends, co-parents and partners throughout it all. These allegations against him are nothing like the person I have known in all that time.” Russell Simmons has been accused by several women of sexual misconduct. He has denied all the allegations. Kimora Lee and Russell have two daughters together.

Casey Affleck will not be presenting the best actress award at the Oscars this year. Traditionally the previous year’s best actor winner presents the best actress Oscar. Affleck took home the award in 2017 for his performance in Manchester By the Sea. According to sources Affleck notified the Academy that he will not be attending the event. His participation in the awards could have been problematic due to accusations of sexual harassment by him on the set of his 2010 movie, I’m Still Here. Two woman filed civil lawsuits against him . Affleck denied the charges and the suits were settled out of court.

Country music superstar Reba McEntire is the latest celebrity and the first female to take on the role of Colonel Harland Sanders for KFC. “I grew up with Kentucky Fried Chicken. It’s part of my story, and I’m so excited to now be part of theirs,” said McEntire. “I’ve held a lot of roles in my life –sort of like the Colonel himself –but this is certainly the most unique one yet.” Reba will appear as part of KFC’s ad campaign for its new Smoky Mountain BBQ fried chicken.
