Kanye West continued his Twitter storm on Thursday sharing private text messages from John Legend. Legend reached out after Kanye showed his support for Donald Trump. “Hey it’s JL. I hope you’ll reconsider aligning yourself with Trump. You’re way too powerful and influential to endorse who he is and what he stands for. As you know, what you say really means something to your fans. They are loyal to you and respect your opinion. So many people who love you feel so betrayed right now because they know the harm that Trump’s policies cause, especially to people of color,” Legend wrote. Kanye also shared his response. “I love you John and I appreciate your thoughts. You bringing up my fans or my legacy is a tactic based on fear used to manipulate my free thought.”
Avicii’s family seemed to imply that the DJ died from an apparent suicide in a statement about his death. “He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness. He could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace. Tim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight,” the family wrote in a statement.
