Saved by the Bell is getting a reboot. Mario Lopez confirmed that he would be returning as A.C. Slater. “The deal is being done,” he told Access Hollywood. “It’s gonna happen. We are going to be rebooting Saved By The Bell for the new NBC streaming platform.” Elizabeth Berkley is also confirmed to return as Jessie Spano. They are the only two original cast member currently confirmed but Mark Paul Gosselaar is reportedly in talks to return to Bayside. Saved by the Bell originally aired on NBC from 1989 to 1993.
Jane Lynch and Cyndi Lauper are teaming up for a new comedy series for Netflix . “I pitched a show to Netflix and they bought it, so that’s nice. I don’t know if I can talk about it, but I’ll tell you it’s with Cyndi Lauper, so there,” Lynch said backstage in the press room at the 2019 Creative Arts Emmys Sunday. “We’re our age, which you know, I’m almost 60 and [Lauper is] 65, and we’re looking for our next act without having husbands or children. And there will be two other folks in it who haven’t been cast yet. So it’s kind of a ‘Golden Girls’ for today.”
Alex Trebek revealed that he will undergo more chemotherapy. “My numbers went down to the equivalent of a normal human being who does not have pancreatic cancer. So we were all very optimistic. And they said, ‘Good, we’re gonna stop chemo, we’ll start you on immunotherapy,’” he told Good Morning America. “And then I lost about 12 pounds in a week and my numbers went sky-high, much higher than they were when I was first diagnosed. So the doctors have decided that I have to undergo chemo again, and that’s what I’m doing.”
