Taylor Swift is helping out Grimey’s New & Preloved Music, a Nashville record store that was forced to layoff employees due to the coronavirus pandemic. “We were very surprised, and I would have to say amazed, that Taylor Swift reached out to us through her publicist to offer some relief,” co-owner Doyle Davis told Rolling Stone. “she really stepped up to help after the recent tornadoes that struck Nashville and middle Tennessee, and now she’s trying to help a beloved small business in her city.” Swift supplied the store with money for each employee and three month’s worth of health care.
Christopher Meloni is set to reprise his role as Elliot Stabler for a Law & Order SVU spinoff. The Dick Wolf drama has been picked up straight-to series with a 13 episode order from NBC. The new series revolves around an NYPD organized crime unit led by Stabler. The new series will also be set in New York so hopefully fans will get a reunion with Mariska Hargitay and her iconic detective Olivia Benson.
Rachel Bloom is a mom. The Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star welcomed a daughter with husband Dan Gregor. Bloom announced the happy news and shared how stressful it was to give birth during the coronavirus outbreak. “Having a baby in the NICU during a pandemic while a dear friend was in the hospital 3,000 miles away made this by far the most emotionally intense week of mine and Gregor’s lives,” she wrote on social media . “We watched the maternity ward around us change hourly to prepare for the upcoming COVID storm. The whole family is now home safe and I am just so grateful to all of our medical workers.”
