Olivia Wilde celebrated Harry Style’s Grammy win by posting some photos of iconic rockers. She shared a throwback pic of young Paul McCartney biting into a big slice of watermelon to her Instagram Story on Monday. Her photo paid tribute to Styles’ song Watermelon Sugar that earned him the award for best pop solo performance. Wilde also shared a side by side photo of Harry and Mick Jagger. Both singers wearing black leather suits with a scarf around their necks.
Elton John spoke out about the announcement that the Catholic Church won’t bless same sex unions. ”How can the Vatican refuse to bless gay marriages because they ‘are sin’, yet happily make a profit from investing millions in ‘Rocketman’ — a film which celebrates my finding happiness from my marriage to David??” John asked. He labeled the alleged actions of the church “#hypocrisy.”
Viola Davis made history with her Oscar nomination for Best Actress for “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.” Davis has become the most nominated Black actress and she is the only Black woman with two Best Actress nominations. Davis was previously tied with her friend and former co-star Octavia Spencer at three nominations.
