Al Pacino revealed in his memoir Sonny Boy that he made career changes after losing all his money due to a corrupt accountant. The accountant mismanaged Pacino’s funds, bringing his savings from a staggering $50 million to zero dollars. Pacino was in his 70’s when he learned he was broke. “The big paydays that I was used to just weren’t coming around anymore. The pendulum had swung, and I found it harder to find parts for myself,” the Oscar winner said. After Pacino went broke, he had to throw out any regulations for his career and start accepting whatever roles offered up big money.
Derek Hough opened up about the day his wife Hayle almost died. In a clip introducing their return to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom Hough said, “It just all came to a screeching halt in the most devastating way.” He recalled, I was on stage, and she’s supposed to come out. The stage manager walked out and just said, ‘Hey, she’s not coming on stage.’ She was on the side of the stage having full seizures and, essentially, dying.” Hayley was rushed to the hospital where Hough was told she had a brain bleed and might not make it.” She underwent two surgeries before making a miraculous recovery.
