Comedy Central heads to Comic Con 50 with South Park and Crank Yankers!!!

Attention all you South Park and Crank Yankers fans cause here are some events hosted by Comedy Central at this year’s Comic Con you don’t want to miss out on!

The festivities kick-off on Thursday, July 18 at 9:30 a.m. with a no-badge-required, free and open to the public South Park activation at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center (200 Harbor Dr. #120) located directly across from the Convention Center, and a Crank Yankers immersive fan experience on Thursday, July 18 inside the Convention Center at Booth #3729. The #1 brand in comedy will also present a Crank Yankers panel on Thursday, July 18 at the Hilton Bayfront in the Indigo Ballroom at 6:45 p.m.

The South Park Bigger Longer Uncut Mini-Golf activation will be revealed to fans on Thursday, July 18 at 9:30 a.m. at the San Diego Wine & Culinary Center. The 9-hole golf course is an homage to the iconic movie with each hole themed to celebrate the 20thanniversary of South Park: Bigger Longer Uncut. The activation will also feature four limited-edition South Park t-shirts, with a different shirt available each day for fans to purchase during a limited window.  The South Park fan activation is free and open to the public from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday, July 21.

For the return of the beloved comedy series Crank Yankers, Comedy Central is hosting a Crank Yankers panel in the Indigo Ballroom at the Hilton Bayfront on Thursday, July 18, featuring executive producer and showrunner Jonathan Kimmel, voice talent David Alan Grier, Chelsea Peretti and Bobby Moynihan, and production designer Gary Kordan with moderator Brian Posehn from 6:45 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. The panel will offer fans never-before-seen clips from the new season as well as behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the making of the series.

Comedy Central is also bringing a slice of Yankerville to the Convention Center. Located at Booth #3729, this immersive experience will give fans an exclusive first listen to crank calls from the new season.  Additionally, fans can pose and take photos with some of the Crank Yankers puppets. This activation will be open to all badge holders throughout the weekend, Thursday, July 18 – Sunday, July 21 during convention hours (Thursday-Saturday from 9:30 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.).

Warner Brothers takes on Comic Con with tons of events!

 

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment storms Comic-Con International 2019 with an unparalleled ensemble of stellar offerings, including six World Premieres, a pair of monumental anniversary celebrations, two helpings of horror fun and fan activations spotlighting two 2019 hit films over the July 17-21 weekend in San Diego.

Among the 13 slated events are world premieres of Batman: Hush, Teen Titans Go! Vs. Teen Titans, LEGO DC: Batman – Family Matters, Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island, The Banana Splits Movie and an in-depth Shazam! documentary. The weekend also spotlights grand celebrations for Batman Beyond’s 20th Anniversary and the 50th anniversary of Scooby-Doo, as well as an inside look at two horror-centric upcoming releases: Critters Attack! & The Banana Splits Movie.

Immersive experiences adjacent to the Omni Hotel (across the tracks from the Convention Center) will offer fans a more personal experience with two of the top films of 2019 – Shazam! and Pokémon Detective Pikachu. Fans will have the opportunity to experience the magic of Ryme City in the immersive walkthrough pop-up based on the hit film Pokémon Detective Pikachu, complete with Instagrammable moments alongside the neon cityscape, Ryme City marketplace, film prop displays, an infinity room and multiple characters from the film including Detective Pikachu himself! And the Shazam! activation gives fans the chance to visit the Chilladelphia Winter Carnival (featured in the blockbuster film) in sunny San Diego to play games, win exclusive prizes, and pose for some fun photo opps. The activations open on Wednesday night.

 

NBC CELEBRATES COMEDY AT SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON

NBC heads to San Diego Comic-Con with star-studded comedy panels for “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “The Good Place” and Comic-Con newbie “Superstore,” plus the annual take-over of Gaslamp Square featuring the Comic-Con exclusive and all-immersive experience of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s” infamous 99th Precinct.

Take a break from the heat and head to Tin Fish Restaurant on the Gaslamp peninsula for a walk down comedy lane as the restaurant is transformed into NBC’s Comedy Café, celebrating some of the network’s favorite comedies with branded menus, custom content and more.

NBC also returns as the official Comic-Con App sponsor, offering attendees a comprehensive mobile companion to the conference, including a dynamic schedule with live updates, interactive exhibit hall map, panel details and popular events. Attendees can also collect their favorite moments and share with friends and sync their personal schedule on Comic-Con.org with the app. The app update will be available for download Wednesday, July 10 on the App Store or Google Play.

Additionally, NBC encourages attendees to pre-register for the NBC Comedy experience starting Wednesday, July 10 by visiting www.nbcsdcc.com. Each attendee will receive a customized profile and wristband to enhance their visit. Utilizing Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, attendees will be fully immersed in the NBC Comedy experience and utilize these RFID brands at each of the experiences. “Stranger Things” Nike merch dropping this week

As we close in on the July 4th season 3 premiere of Netflix’s “Stranger Things,” Nike has been dropping new merchandise in collaboration with the hit series. “Nike and Netflix join forces to take you back to the summer of 1985 with the Nike x Stranger Things collection,” the landing page on the Nike site says. “Step back in time (and into the Upside Down) in modern takes of authentic, 1985 Nike styles and apparel ready to hit the halls of Hawkins High.”

Several styles of sneakers and Hawkins workout gear were released over the weekend.

Today marked the drop of a new batch. We’ll be counting down the days to the premiere in STYLE!

And on July 12, look for even more merch from the “OG Collection” to be updated with the show’s 1985 Hawkins looks.

Love Taco Bell? Well now live it in this Pop-Up hotel.

Hey who doesn’t crave a Taco Bell hard shell taco now-and-again? But some people want to really take their love for the mexican fast food chain by literally living it. Recently Marisa Thalberg, global chief brand officer at Taco Bell, confirmed the news in an email to media outlets later that the brand was embarking on a pop-up style hotel:

“Taco Bell fans are truly one of a kind, and today was one of the best expressions of that fandom yet,” Thalberg said. “The Bell: A Taco Bell Hotel and Resort officially sold out in just 2 minutes. We would like to extend a big ‘thank you’ for those who have come along on this journey with us and even though The Bell is sold out, we’ll have more to share on exclusive merchandise, food and more in the coming weeks so those unable to score a room can still experience the fun from home.”

As stated the reservations sold out in a lightning fast 2 minutes…(Man people LOVE Taco Bell huh?) but I’m sure as the check in times arrive you’ll be seeing a lot of social media buzz and photos surrounding it. Taco Bell is taking over more than 70 rooms of V Palm Springs hotel in Palm Springs, California and transforming it into The Bell from August 8th to 12th.

 

A Must Have for any Game of Thrones Fan out there!

Wow! So HBO just unveiled their Game Of Thrones Complete Series Limited Edition and boy is it something! “ultra-premium” Blu-ray. All eight seasons will come in a “visually stunning wooden shadow box case, featuring beautiful, multi-layered panel designs by Robert Ball (the artist behind the “Beautiful Death” series) that summarize the Game of Thrones story. Each season is represented by a different layer, showcasing iconic characters and memorable moments from the show, all clambering toward the Iron Throne. The set also contains a “Hand of the King” pin clasp, which holds all nine custom plated disc sleeves.”

And then there’s the special features and contents of the set:

  • Game of Thrones: Reunion Special: A reunion show shot live in Belfast with the cast, both past and present, hosted by Conan O’Brien and available exclusively on these complete series collections. The reunion special is assembled in segments focused on Houses Lannister, Stark, & Targaryen and concludes with the key players all onstage for their final reflections on the years they shared in Westeros and Essos.
  • Bonus content and retail exclusive videos from previously released individual season box sets, totaling more than 15 hours of extra materials for fans to explore when they’ve finished watching the series.

Complete Series and Season 8 formats also exclusively feature:
