Casper, the company known for its mattress commercials, has just unveiled a high-tech nightlight that eliminates that dreaded “blue light” that keeps us awake. Called the Glow Light, the new device is “made for bedtime, from sunset to sunrise,” according to the Casper site. It’s a portable light that charges on a wireless charging station, and it’s controlled by simple gestures – wiggle for gentle light, twist to adjust the brightness. You can use the app to set a wake time, and the nightlight will wake you up with a soft glow. You can also use two or more together by pairing them via the app, so get one for $89 or two for $169.

Puma is beta-testing NEW self-lacing shoes, competing with Nike
Just weeks after Nike announced its smart bluetooth Nike Adabt BB sneakers (HERE), Puma has upped the game by introducing its Fit Intelligence “Fi” platform. Where Nike’s self-lacing kicks were aimed at basketball players, Puma’s are made for a wider audience of athletes who do workouts and light running. According to Puma’s announcement, the new tech “employs a micromotor to power a uniquely configured cable system that ‘laces’ the shoe… It comes with a smart sensing capability that learns the shape of the foot of each user and adapts the fit of the shoe to the individual.” The Fi training shoe – a successor to Puma’s 2016 self-lacing AutoDisc shoe – will be available in 2020. To apply to beta-test the new tech, apply via the PUMATRAC app.
THIS is the hair color of the year, according to Vogue
Vogue and L’Oréal Paris have named SILVER the hair color of the year! The color of silver seems like an offshoot of the beautiful grays we’ve seen rising in popularity, so it’s the perfect choice. “Not only has silver hair been a top color trend on the runways and it is the ‘it’ color for women of all ages, we love what the color stands for – it symbolizes charisma, ethereal energy, power, focus and it is beyond chic,” says Orrea Light, Vice President of L’Oréal Global Marketing Product Development and Beauty Innovation.
According to the press release, we can look for silver hair throughout Vogue’s digital and print iterations, as well as during New York Fashion Week. If you want to try the trend yourself, check out L’Oreal’s 2019 Hair Color of the Year collection, which also includes the no-commitment option of hair makeup.

We’re getting a new BEATLES doc from Sir Peter Jackson!
Exactly 50 years ago, The Beatles were in the studio recording their Grammy Award winning album Let It Be. And now it’s just been announced that we’re getting a new documentary from Academy Award winning director Sir Peter Jackson featuring footage of the Fab Four making that incredible album. Peter Jackson said, “The 55 hours of never-before-seen footage and 140 hours of audio made available to us, ensures this movie will be the ultimate ‘fly on the wall’ experience that Beatles fans have long dreamt about – it’s like a time machine transports us back to 1969, and we get to sit in the studio watching these four friends make great music together.” The untitled film is still in production, so a release date is not yet set. “I’m thrilled and honoured to have been entrusted with this remarkable footage,” Peter said. “Making the movie will be a sheer joy.”

Chance the Rapper modernized the Backstreet Boys classic “I Want It That Way”
Chance the Rapper joined the Backstreet Boys to revamp their classic 1999 hit song “I Want It That Way.” The project is of course part of a Super Bowl ad campaign for Doritos Flamin’ Hot Nacho, #NowItsHot, but we have to admit that the resulting video is indeed pretty fire. Check out the remix here:
This campaign comes at a good time for the Backstreet Boys too, as the group has just released their latest album, DNA. And starting on Super Bowl Sunday, you can “Backstreet-ify” yourself using an exclusive Snapchat lens. Backstreet’s back, ALRIGHT.
Amy Schumer got a HILARIOUS cake in honor of her pregnancy
Amy Schumer posted photos on Instagram of a cake she received as a surprise gift from her sister-in-law, and we can’t stop laughing. The pics are appropriately tagged #haunting #butthole, so you know it’s going to be a doozy. The grinning Cabbage Patch Kids doll is (pun intended) the icing on the cake. Thanks for brightening everyone’s Monday, ladies!
