A new Jonathan Van Ness doc series starts on YouTube this week

One of 2018’s brightest lights has been Jonathan Van Ness, particularly for his role as one of the Fab Five hosts of Netflix’s “Queer Eye.” While we wait for a third season of the lifestyle-makeover reality show, we actually have a chance to see JVN pursue one of his own life goals: standup comedy. A four-episode YouTube doc series for Hotels.com will chronicle Jonathan’s journey across America for a 10-night stand-up comedy tour. “He’s constantly promoting positivity and cheering on people on his show. This was an awesome opportunity for us to return those good vibes to him and make sure he was taken care of in fabulous hotels while on the road and slaying his comedic dreams,” said Katie Junod, General Manager of the Hotels.com brand in North America. “My advice for watching the series – grab some popcorn and a tissue box!”

The first episode of “10 Nights With Jonathan Van Ness” dropped yesterday.

These pro organizers to the stars are quickly gaining celeb status themselves

Professional organizers Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin are suddenly everywhere. Their company “The Home Edit” has a super-popular Instagram page boasting colorfully transformed closets, pantries and bookshelves. Then they teamed up with Reese Witherspoon for a show about their celeb home overhauls, called “Master the Mess,” which debuted on DirectTV and Uverse in September of this year. And now, they’ve announced a book titled “The Home Edit: A Guide to Organizing and Realizing Your House Goals.” Rooms organized by “The Home Edit” are unmistakable in their clean simplicity and ordered colors. As Shay Mitchell says in the trailer for the show, “This is a problem. We’re gonna have to do the whole house now.”

The holiday lights display at Saks Fifth Avenue is going to be EPIC

Though we already know that the holiday lights at Saks Fifth Avenue in NYC are a must-see, but this year’s displays are leveling up. According to the press release, “For the first time in the retailer’s 94-year history, Saks Fifth Avenue premieres a digital storytelling animation concept, along with the brand’s traditional vignettes in its New York holiday window display.” The displays will include digital screens integrated with real-life props to tell a story.

The November 19 unveiling of the 10-story-tall display is going to be a live event (also streamed online at Saks.com), which will feature 124 Broadway dancers for a show called “Theater of Dreams.” After the big reveal, the window animations and lights displays will continue throughout the holiday season until January 2, 2019.

A luxury footwear brand paired with Uber to make Uber SHOES

The luxury brand that made Princess Eugenie’s shoes for her wedding last month to Jack Brooksbank is now partnering with Uber (yes, THAT Uber) to offer a deal in the UK. For each £695 pair of gold Uber SHOES, Charlotte Olympia will give the buyer £500 in Uber credits.

According to Forbes, Charlotte Olympia said: “My brand motto is ‘The higher the heel, the better you feel!’ and now you can guarantee that you and your dancing shoes will be looked after when going from party to party this holiday season with the touch of an app.”

Though party-hopping transportation is ONE reason to buy the Charlotte Olympia x Uber collaboration heels, this honestly seems like a steal if you’re a frequent Uber rider. So, you know — treat yo self!

Ciara’s dance moves are still on FIRE in 2018

For those of us who diligently learned to “1,2 Step” when it was released in 2004, this video of Ciara showing off the moves for her latest song “Dose” is JUST the update we needed in 2018.

The music video for “Dose” (HERE) is still worth watching, mostly for all the butt cheeks (sorry, just being honest – there are a LOT of butt cheeks). Also look for an appearance by Atlanta’s mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms.

But the real action seems to be in this accompanying video for an Atlanta pep rally that looks… well, like a dose of just what we need.

Sprig’s CBD sodas are in four NEW states!

Though Sprig has been known for its cannabis-infused drinks, the company’s CBD products are becoming just as popular. With the recent addition of four new states, Sprig’s CBD-infused soda line is now being distributed in California, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Vermont, and Washington. According to the press release, you’ll be able to find it at restaurants in those locations, as well as at grocery and convenience stores. “We decided to add these territories because they are well-informed, progressive markets that are chomping at the bit for a high quality, trustworthy and refreshing CBD beverage,” said Michael Lewis, CEO at Sprig. “As it stands today, Sprig is the only brand fitting that description.” Cannabidiol is the non-psychoactive component in cannabis, so though it won’t get you high, it’s thought to have therapeutic properties.

Get your fall foliage fix with this leaf peeping film

As we leave Halloween behind this week, it’s time to focus on November’s charms. Large parts of the country will enter their peak foliage seasons as temperatures drop this month, but if you’re looking for a palate teaser, this is just the film. Shot on location in Vermont, the video is a serene trip through the trees as leaves turn colors in front of your eyes. Though the ending is a bit bittersweet (winter IS coming, y’all), we enjoyed the views along the way.

These boots will give you nightmares to last until next Halloween

In the photos, one half of the duo, Hannah Rose Dalton, models the creepy fashion statements.

Pinball is getting a Beatlemania makeover as the classic pub game stages a comeback

Stern Pinball is turning 1960’s Beatlemania into a modern arcade game! Given what the company has accomplished recently with the pinball games for Star Wars and Iron Maiden, we’re pretty excited to see the results. According to the press release, “only 1964 units will be produced in recognition of the year in which the world forever changed when Ed Sullivan introduced America to four young mop-topped musicians from Liverpool, England.” Though we don’t yet have many details on the new game based on the Beatles, it’s bound to be epic. Stern really brought the goods to 2018 San Diego Comic Con:
