These kicks look good enough to eat

A collaboration between a custom footwear maker and a visual artist has resulted in truly gorgeous custom shoes. Known for his work published under the #deliciouskicks hashtag, @ryustyler photographs sneakers alongside colorful food or other everyday objects. Recently he teamed up with Chase Shiel (@chaseshiel), who brings conceptual custom-made footwear to life, to create the Matcha Air Jordan 1 sneakers in reflection of the Japanese ceremonial tea that has taken over hipster kitchens everywhere this year. Each pair of custom kicks (now sold out, unfortunately) retailed this weekend for $970 and will ship with an authentic bamboo tea whisk.

“thank u, jeff” is the Ariana Grande parody you NEED this week

In THE viral moment of the week, “The Late Late Show” host James Corden debuted his Ariana Grande parody song, “thank u, jeff” starring none other than the legendary Jeff Goldblum. The video cuts from Corden writhing on a bed in satin jammies, to the talent show dance scene complete with men dressed as different movie versions of Jeff Goldblum swaying behind the host as Jeff himself dances along in the audience à la Kris Jenner. Just like the original “thank u, next,” the lyrics are worth turning up the volume for, too. “Thank you, Jeff. Thank you, Jeff. He’s so fricking scared of that T-Rex.” We’ll be singing this song. all. weekend.

Forget the elves, and treat yourself to Shiraz on the Shelf instead

The start of the first week of December is giving us ALL the Monday feels. Though everyone’s minds are on their massive to-do lists leading up to the Holiday Season, it’s also the first day of another long work week. Luckily, we have Shiraz on the Shelf. In a playful imitation of the children’s favorite Elf on the Shelf, Shiraz on the Shelf is “a new Christmas wine tradition” from comedian Dena Blizzard, known online as One Funny Mother. “This perfectly packaged gift set includes a designed wine glass and hilarious illustrated booklet with your new favorite inappropriate Christmas poem,” says the description on the sales page. “Wine not included, but highly encouraged.”

Stella Artois wants to help you host holiday parties with a robot bartender!

If you’re one of the MANY people who snapped up a robot vacuum on Black Friday, you’re in luck, because that robot is now able to help you host a party. And THAT’S a way to our hearts, folks.

Belgian beer company Stella Artois released a $20 upgrade to robot vacuums called B.A.R.T. (Bartending Automated Robotic Technology), which is “designed to serve beer and snacks to guests all while cleaning up after itself, so hosts can spend less time stressing and more time enjoying special moments with their friends and family.” Basically you just install B.A.R.T. on your robot vacuum, and let it deliver stuff while it skates around cleaning up crumbs. Brilliant!

According to the press release, its features include:

-A custom tray that holds up to four bottles of Stella Artois and Stella Artois Chalices
-Specially designed cup holders to keep beer from spilling in transit
-A bowl for party snacks to pair with your premium lager

Though the limited supply of B.A.R.T. units appears to already be sold out, they’re also offering a free 3D print file so you can make your own at home. Click HERE to see more on the Stella Artois website’s B.A.R.T. page.

The treats will be delivered through DoorDash with orders of the Whopper + Dogpper combo using promo code DOGPPER, now through December 4th. So, you know, treat that little beast of yours to a beefy bone instead of a bag of fries (yeah, we’ve been there too).

“The Good Place” star Jameela Jamil posted a video from the toilet (complete with farts!) to protest weight loss products

Tempting as it may be to counter holiday face-stuffing with celeb-endorsed weight loss products, “The Good Place” star Jameela Jamil reminds us that these laxatives aren’t exactly comfortable to use. When Cardi B. posted an ad on social media earlier this week promoting a detox tea, Jameela went viral with a comment that she wished that these celebrity endorsers would “all shit their pants in public, the way the poor women who buy this nonsense upon their recommendation do.” Jameela is a well-known advocate for body positivity, and runs multiple social media accounts (@i_weigh) to encourage people to “look beyond the flesh on our bones.” Well, sis took the pants-shitting viral moment to the next level today with this video of a fake celeb endorsement for laxatives, complete with some pretty gnarly sound effects:

Have to admit we’re impressed with her willingness to just GO THERE. As she says herself – her legacy is complete.
